The Ford Sync in-car infotainment system earned a nod as one of Popular Mechanics’ Top 10 Most Brilliant Gadgets of 2007. The editors called the system’s voice-recognition capability “the best we’ve ever tried.” They plus pointed to the low price of the system and the fact that Sync can read text messages from a cell phone as other reasons it earned recognition.
