GM Daewoo releases Captiva in China

GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) commenced sales of their crossover, Winstorm, today in China. In co-operation with GM and SAIC, the Winstorm will be sold under the moniker, Captiva, in the Chinese market. The Captiva is also available in Europe and in Australia under the Holden marque.

The Captiva joins the Spark (Matiz), Aveo (Kalos), Lova (Gentra), Buick Excelle (Lacetti), and the Epica (Tosca)

in the fierce Chinese market. The Captiva adds to the wide variety of models GM Daewoo offers. The Captiva will initially be available with a 2.4L 4-cylinder gasoline engine. A 3.2L V6 will be available during the second half of 2008.
