Honda Previews 2009 Pilot with Pretty Picture

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but we can’t fairly say the same about these pre-auto-show renderings automakers keep issuing. Well, now it’s Honda’s turn. The company has released that cartoony air-brush rendering of its next-generation Pilot sport-utility vehicle. Beyond noting that it will have “bolder styling,” Honda is sharing nothing else about the car, which is to be unveiled in the metal at January’s North American worldly Auto Show in Detroit. However tempting it may to use Honda’s tight

lips as an opportunity to speculate wildly, we’ll chorus, apart from to note that opposite to optimistic rumors, the future Pilot is unlikely to employ a V-8 engine; it nearly certainly will use a somewhat larger, certainly more robust version of the 3.5-liter V-6 in the current car (pictured above).
