Started stripping down the Spitfire parts car that weekend. Four bolts, and the steel hardtop came off. Each of the seats took just two bolts, none of which was frozen. Amazing. The seat bases are beyond saving, but the seat frames should clean up nicely. I’ll be grabbing those instruments and switches.
It took increasingly than four bolts to get to the gearbox, though.
Some critter was living up under the gearbox cover at some point, I guess.
Things were looking a little better after a few minutes with the shop vac.
I think my assistant was disappointed that all of the mouse nests were vacant.
