That pictures is precisely what it looks like - a double-decker Smart ForTwo threatening to topple during a laugh-out-loud road tryout by the guys at Fifth Gear.
It seems our friends across the pond got the notion while testing the Mitsubishi i. They liked the little electric kei car but thought it was a bit pricey at 9,000 British pounds (not fairly $18,000). That got Fifth Gear’s Jonny Smith wondering about alternatives. No problem. Four bolts, two Smarts and a few hours later he’s got the world’s first double-decker ForTwo. That would be absurd abundant on its face, but the fun really starts when Smith puts the car through a battery of tests, including a 50 mph moose avoidance pop quiz.
