Transport for London (TfL) will reward passengers who set up the Oyster Auto top-up in the next month with five free iTunes songs. The Oyster Auto top-up automatically refills (by charging your credit card) TfL Oyster transit cards with credit when balance gets low. With Auto top-up, passengers do not need to stop by a ticket booth or machine to add value to their cards. So what’s the catch? Automatically refilling cards somewhat makes passengers unaware of the amount of money spent on transit - sort of like giftcards where the cash is intangible.
