Turkish-born and Dutch-based, upstart car designer Ugur Sahin is making fairly a name for himself as a reinterpreter of other company’s designs. final year, he “unveiled” his computer-rendered Spiga Concept, a slightly more organic-looking version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, followed by the Audi Locus and Ferrari Dino concepts.
Lately, however, Sahin and trade partner Axel van Mourik have been toying with much grander plans. The designer recently announced plans to build (or at least commission) 100 examples of his Corvette Z03 Concept, a good-looking carbon fiber-bodied rewrite of the current Chevrolet Corvette Z06, inspired by the third-generation (1968-1982) Corvette and packing as much as 750 horsepower.
